Pastor :: Louie Monteith
Pastor Louie came to Jesus as a teenager during the Jesus People movement. He
felt called to serve the Lord and went to school to study the Bible. When he
graduated he spent some time with his brother starting a Calvary Chapel in the
Hemet area, served in missions with YWAM, and finally ended up at Calvary Chapel
Anaheim, where he served as an associate pastor for several years. Finally, one
day, having had a heart for the Corona-Norco area where he lived, his
pastor encouraged him to start a Calvary Chapel in Norco.
Besides teaching the Word of God, Pastor Louie likes to spend time with his family and enjoying the beach. Pastor Louie lives in Corona with his wife Cheryl, and his two daughters—Lindsay and Kelsey.
Assistant Pastor :: Brian Center
Pastor Brian grew up in a Christian home going to great Bible-teaching churches. When
he was 5 years old, he told his mom that he wanted to accept Jesus, and they prayed
together. As he grew up, the first thing he wanted to be was a pastor… until he
started saying pediatrician—mostly because he was impressed he could say the word.
In Jr. High, Brian’s life came to a little crisis. He tried to be the perfect Christian—on his own strength, but realized more and more that no matter how good he had it together on the outside, he still had a wicked heart. Alone one night on his bed, he prayed and rededicated his life to the Lord, and received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. His walk from there has been one of learning his own failures, but through that seeing Jesus amazing overcoming grace.
The ministries Brian is responsible for at Calvary Chapel Norco include music, childrens’ ministry, and college and career ministry. He is 29 years old, and lives in Corona.
Youth Pastor :: Jeremy Britton
Jeremy started to really take the Lord seriously as a student in high school. He
was encouraged to come out to youth group at Calvary Chapel Norco during the
beginning of his junior year by a friend in high school. Once he got off work at
Burger King, he sped over to check it out. After realizing that the Lord had been
chasing him down, Jeremy submitted his life to Christ. After graduating high school,
he attended Calvary Chapel Bible College for two years. Shortly after graduating Bible
College he married the love of his life, Sarah. Jeremy and Sarah started to get more
involved in youth ministry once married and have been at it now for close to four years.
They have two young children, Luke and Allison.
Youth mission trips, retreats, and beach trips are among some of the things that Jeremy enjoys doing with the youth. He is an amateur magician, and has a rapping career that he keeps “under wraps” and goes by “The Corny Tortilla”.
